Burn What We’ve Been Building

They’ll just burn what we’ve been building

You’ve got some history
I did some digging and
It’s still a mystery
You don’t have to live
A life of misery
Because when I close my eyes
You’re all I see

We can’t help the little children
We can’t teach them bad religion
We can’t help them with their problems
They’ll just burn what we’ve been building

I’m so animated
You did some poking and
All you got was frustrated
Things don’t have to be
So effing complicated
Cause when I hold you tight
I’m so damn elated

We can’t help the little children
We can’t teach them bad religion
We can’t help them with their problems
They’ll just burn what we’ve been building
